Buy Quality Grass Fed Beef Online

We source our beef from Simon and Charlotte Duerden of Mountain View Farm in Barley. Barley is a tiny village which sits at the foot of Pendle Hill and is just a few minutes drive away from our shop.

We choose to buy our beef from just one farm, as this allows us to provide our customers with the best quality beef at all times. As regular beef eaters ourselves, we know that consistency in texture, flavour and overall quality is very important.

The majority of the beef that we supply comes from grass fed Limousin cattle. However, from time to time we do supply Angus beef and beef from rare breeds such as Long Horn.

Our beef is bred, reared and slaughtered within a few miles of our shop. Using a local abattoir ensures that the beef cattle don't have to travel too far before they are slaughtered; calm, relaxed and well cared for cattle provide the best quality beef.

Once the beef is ready, Simon Duerden delivers it to our shop. Here it is allowed to mature on the bone for at least 21 days. This time to mature allows the beef to develop an amazing and distinctive flavour.

After 21 days the beef is butchered. Excellent quality beef, traditional hanging methods and Ryan's butchery expertise ensure that we provide a selection of beef cuts, steaks and roasting joints that are first class.
