How much does delivery cost?

The table below details our delivery costs.

Nationwide Delivery (via 24 hour courier)

Unfortunately, there is a minimum spend of £25 for all orders that require 24 hour courier delivery.

We are able to offer delivery to all addresses in England, Wales and the Scottish mainland from Aberdeen southwards.  Delivery costs are extremely high in other areas; therefore, we cannot deliver elsewhere.

Currently, we do not offer shipping overseas.


What happens if my purchase does not arrive?

All orders should be received by 5pm of the requested delivery date. If your order does not arrive by this time, please contact our shop immediately on (01282) 617557 or email us at orders@nicholsons-butchers.co.uk.

Please read our terms and conditions for further information regarding deliveries that do not arrive on the requested date.


When will my delivery arrive?

Local Deliveries (BB8 - BB12)

We deliver to the these areas four days a week; Tuesday through to Friday.  If you place your order by 4pm, we can offer next day delivery.  If you place your order on Saturday, the earliest that your goods will arrive is Monday.

If you are in a particular hurry and need our products sooner than as stated above, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email before you place your order.  If we can get it to you sooner, we will be happy to do so.


Can you guarantee a delivery time?

Nationwide Courier Delivery

Your order will arrive anytime between 8.30am and 5.00pm on the delivery day.  Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to give you an exact time for delivery. 

Local Deliveries

Deliveries that we make in person are usually made after the shop closes or before the shop opens; before 8.00 am or after 5.00 pm.


Will my order arrive in good condition?

Yes.

All of our meat is packed to ensure that it stays as fresh as possible on its journey to you.

Once your order has been freshly prepared, it is wrapped and labelled accordingly.  The products are then placed in a very strong tear-proof plastic bag.  This bag is put inside an insulated chill-box and covered with ice-gel packs to keep the products cold.  The chill-box is then sealed securely and labelled with your name and address details.

Our couriers then collect your order in the late afternoon and deliver it to you the next day.  The ice-gel packs will keep your products safely chilled for 48 hours.  Feel free to re-use your ice-gel packs.  They are ideal for taking on picnics!


Will the weight of my order be accurate when it arrives?

We aim to supply meat weighing as close to the weight ordered as possible.  However, this can prove to be quite difficult with certain cuts of meat.  We will always ensure that if exact weights cannot be achieved, the weight of the meat that you receive will be higher than that stated.  There will be no additional charge for this.
